What I can offer
Antenatal Breastfeeding Education: Teaching expectant parents (both new parents and parents expecting again) about breastfeeding techniques, benefits, and what to expect.
Latch and Positioning Assistance
Managing Breastfeeding Challenges: Addressing issues such as nipple pain, low milk supply, mastitis, engorgement, and other breastfeeding-related concerns.
Pumping and Milk Storage Guidance: Advising on the use of breast pumps, milk expression, flange fit sizing and proper storage techniques.
Bottle Feeding: Including introducing a bottle and assistance with bottle refusal.
Support for Special Situations: Providing tailored support for premature infants, multiples, faultering growth and oral restrictions (NB I am not trained to release tongue ties but I can refer you on if I think your baby could benefit from further assessment and release).
Returning to Work Planning
Weaning Assistance: Helping mothers transition from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding or solid foods.
Emotional Support: Offering encouragement and support to mothers to boost their confidence and mental well-being during the breastfeeding journey.
Currently I offer private services in-home and virtually.
If in-home, I will come with helpful tools (such as nipple shields, breast cooling pads, bottles, electric breast pump, supplemental nursing systems) that might be needed to facilitate improved feeding for you and your little one. If you are needing these I will happily loan them short-term while you order your own. I do not sell any stock.
